Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Silver Kookaburra Series, the 2020 Australian Kookaburra features the Perth Mint’s original 1990 design. Composed of 1 troy oz of .999 pure silver.
The reverse of each coin features the “laughing” bird perched atop a tree stump, surrounded by eucalyptus. It is inscribed with THE AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA 1 OZ .999 SILVER, and the years 1990-2020.
Since 1990, the Perth Mint has released Silver Kookaburras annually. Each installment features a new design, available in various sizes — from one ounce to one kilo.
